Manard, I. Terr. Jan. 15th 1894 To the First Presidency. Salt Lake City Utah. Dear Brethern: In compliance with your favor of Oct. 15, requesting anual reports from Stakes and foreign missions in the future, I herewith submit a report of the Indian Territory Mission from Oct 6, to Dec 31, 1893 covering a period of three months. Immediately follow- ing our last report, Oct. 15th, our anual conference convened in our meeting house at Manard Che- rokee Nation, Indian Territory. All the elders ...

    Excerpt:
Not allowing such a favorable opportunity to pass, indispersed with their music, songs and rescitations the elders bore their testimony to the congregation, our little meeting house was filled to overflowing. Conference adjourned with a general good feeling. Our eleven elders obtaining their appointments were soon scattered to the various nations, and Oklahoma. We still have to contend with this unhealthy climate, but year by year we are gaining the mastery over it; we had no sickness to speak of until late in the fall, showing plainly that the second summer ...

    Excerpt:
Oklahoma has opend out a very promising field, with a constantly increasing population of a good class of people. We have 24 members including the children, will have a branch organized in the near future. The elders report conciderable intrest manifest in their teachings, holding meatings nearly evry night. We have eight elders in the Indian Territory proper, we can use doubley this forse. Im only ...

The true blood of Israel dwells in this land, as is plainly demonstrated by the few faithful Lamanite saints we have, it looks very much like as though Nephi had left some of his people in these woods. Governd by the spirit of charity, concidering the traditions and the deceptive sectarian teachin- gs that these poor confiding people have been subjected to, we can hardly expect anything better from them. Their eyes are being ...

notwithstanding all objectionable ob- sticles to the contrary. We are not only only educating a great number of the sons of zion to be worthy workers in the cause of truth, in confounding the false doctrines of men, but are laying a foundation in this land for a great Latter day work. Very Respectfully, Your Brother in the Gospel. Andrew Kimball. P.S. In connection with my report concluding with the year just past, I will say that the Lord has greatly blessed my efforts in the two months visit to ...

    Excerpt:
among the branches, our next ^anual^ con- ference will be held in the Choctaw Nation where our little branch is located, and we hope to dedicate another meeting house to the Lord. In fulfilment to the spirit of prophecy pourd out on a good old Choctaw Lady, I had the privelage of dedi- cating a spot of ground on her claim on which by her issistance, financialy and otherwise, we hope to show the Choctaw people, as well as the Cherokees, that we have come to stay. The ...
