I forward you a few lines
that you may know concerning
our welfare, that we are well
and being prospered.
Ten baptisms have been performed
here since last I wrote, but
rather discouraging reports come
from Toga. I will enclose
Elder Welkers last letter to me.
Elder Sears has been honor-
ably released to return home
with this mail. We had no
money to pay his fair, but a
kind friend loaned us the
amt.
We are somewhat distressed
financially here at present and
especially on Toga where rent etc.
