Letter from Orlando Barrus, 8 September 1896
Fagalii, . To the First Pres. Dear Brethren I forward you a few lines that you may know concerning our welfare, that we are well and being prospered. Ten baptisms have been performed here since last I wrote, but rather discouraging reports come from Toga. I will enclose Elder Welkers last letter to me. Elder Sears has been honor- ably released to return home with this mail. We had no money to pay his fair, but a kind friend loaned us the amt. We are somewhat distressed financially here at present and especially on Toga where rent etc.
