On August 13, 1848, Wilford Woodruff spoke about his recent address to the saints. He wrote:
“[On] Sunday I met with the Saints in Boston. Lewis Robins spoke in the fore part of the day; I followed him. I dined with Brother Cannon in the afternoon. I addressed [that] the meeting was clothed in the Spirit of God, and I was blessed and edified, as were the congregation.”
The Spirit is a gift from God that allows us to know that what God’s prophets teach us are true. The Spirit also allows us to feel peace, love, and comfort. The Spirit can be felt as we remember Jesus Christ and His teachings.
When have you felt the Spirit in your life?
