Come, Follow Me

Transcript

In this week’s Come, Follow Me lesson we read 1 Nephi 3:7 which says, “I will go and do the things the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.”

Wilford Woodruff taught many lessons about being obedient to the promptings of our Heavenly Father’s Spirit. He once shared that he had “been blessed at times with certain gifts and graces, certain revelations and ministrations; but with them all I have never found anything that I could place more dependency upon than the still small voice of the Holy Ghost.”

Nephi learned the same lesson over and over throughout his life, that he could always depend on the Holy Spirit to guide him.

We are blessed with agency and the power to decide each day if we will go and do as the Lord commands and if we will be obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I pray that we take advantage of the tremendous blessing our Heavenly Father has given us to help us in our journey, the constant companionship of His Spirit.
