On August 28, 1844 Wilford Woodruff wrote:
“[We had] a very busy morning packing up goods, preparing to start [our mission], receiving blessings, blessing people, and biding friends farewell, which occupied nearly the whole day. At 4 o’clock in the evening, I parted with the quorum of the Twelve at the Temple and started on my journey again for England…”
Wilford Woodruff served several missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These missions consist of people leaving their homes to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings the one serving, and those they serve, closer to Christ as they feel of His love.
How has serving others helped you feel Christ’s love?
