On October 25th, 1847, Wilford Woodruff testified of the living prophet when reporting about a meeting in his journal. He said: 

“I attended the meeting in the tabernacle. John Young preached in the morning followed by Lorenzo Young and Brigham Young. We had a good meeting. The Lord is manifesting great wisdom through President Brigham Young as a Prophet & leader in Israel. He corrects the errors of all his brethren in such a way it is clearly manifest in the eyes of all the people.”
