Powerful teachers of the doctrine of Christ are found all throughout the Book of Mormon. Nephi is no exception, and this week in Come, Follow Me, we have the privilege of studying his teachings on the gospel. 

As the doctrine of Christ has become central to my purpose in life, I have found so much joy and fulfillment every day! I recently returned from serving as a missionary in Oklahoma where I learned to apply the doctrine of Christ and help others do the same. 

I had a similar experience to Wilford Woodruff’s as a missionary. He said, “I never had more of the spirit of God in my life than when teaching the first principles of the gospel, and bearing testimony to the inhabitants of the earth.”

I know that as we live the doctrine of Christ and share it with others, we can, like Nephi taught in 2 Nephi 31:16, “endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God” and receive eternal life.
