Day in the Life

Transcript

On September 4, 1837 Wilford Woodruff and his companion, Jonathan Hale, left what is now known as North Haven, Maine and crossed the narrow neck to its sister island, Vinalhaven.

He wrote:

“We walked to the Post Office, took a sail boat to cross to South Fox Island. We had a pleasant time & sung on the way. It was about 1 1/2 miles across to the place of our landing. I felt to rejoice to stand upon another Island of the sea to preach the gospel. May God bless us and give us access to the hearts (and souls) of the people as seals of our ministry.”

Wilford Woodruff often recorded singing while he traveled. I think this is one way he found joy in the journey.

What do you do to find joy in your journey?
