On July 18, 1845, Wilford Woodruff’s wife Phebe gave birth to a son named Joseph. Wilford Woodruff recorded in his journal,
“This morning at half past seven o'clock Mrs Phebe W. Woodruff was delivered of a fine son. I laid hands upon her at the commencement of her sickness. I told her it should be well with her & with her child which was the case. I thank the Lord that it is a son for unto us a child is born unto us a son is given his name shall be called JOSEPH. My Prayer to my Heavenly father is that his life may be preserved to stand among the Sons of Zion, bear the Priesthood with honor And bless his Father and Mother in their old age and Honor them that his days may be long upon the land which the Lord God of Israel shall give unto him.”
How have children (nieces and nephews, grandchildren, siblings, or your own children) been a blessing in your life?
