15 I recieved 6 letters wrote 2
I recieved one letter from S Brannan New york Also the messenger And a times
& seasons from Nauvoo. Mrs Woodruff
& babe was quite unwell this morning It
was Ascertained that the ship would not
go out this day 8 [miles]

16th1846January I went on board the ship
Liverpool with my family & about 40 other Saints Elders Hedlock, Fielding, McChacie & myself went
out withe ship abot 10 miles we then
took the parting hand with my family
& all the Saints & returned in a small
boat & left them floating before a good
breeze I returned to Liverpool &
was vary busy the remaind part of
the day 20

17th I spent the day at the office 4
~ Sunday
18th Sunday I called upon Elder Ward
in the morning found him unwell yet He
went with me to the office Elder Hedlock
was with us & we took an inventory of all
the property in the printing department
And settled all accounts as far as time would
permit. I remained at the office untill 11 oclok
at night
~ Monday
19th Monday was A vary busy day in
settling my business I recieved 2 letter I wrote A letter to Henry McEwen
