Samuel Brannan
Samuel Brannan (1819-1889) was born 2 Mar. 1819 in Saco, York Co., Maine. He was the son of Thomas Brannan and Sarah Knox. He married Anne Eliza Cowan in 1844; divorced before 15 Dec. 1870. He married Carmilita Carman on 18 Mar. 1882 in Tucson, Pima Co., Arizona Territory. He was baptized about 1833. He met with Wilford Woodruff in 1844 as an Elder in the New York City Branch and they corresponded frequently between 1845 and 1849. He died 5 May 1889 in Escondido, San Diego Co., California.
