Frederick the Great of Prussia
Frederick the Great of Prussia (1712-1786) was born 24 Jan. 1712 in Berlin, Brandenburg, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany. He was the son of Frederick William I of Prussia and Sophia Dorothea of Hanover. He married Elisabeth Christine von Braunschweig-Bevern on 12 Jun. 1733 in Wolfenbüttel, Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg. He died 17 Aug. 1786 in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
