George Cowles
George Cowles (abt. 1780-1860) was born about Jul. 1780 in Connecticut. He was the son of Solomon Cowles and Polly Gleason. He married Abigail Deming on 3 Dec. 1803 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He hosted and employed Wilford Woodruff from 1821 to 1823 and Wilford visited him on 18 Jun. 1837 in Farmington. He died 7 Jan. 1860 in Farmington.
