Ira Carter Foss

Ira Carter Foss (1824-1864) was born 19 Jul. 1824 in Scarborough, Cumberland Co., Maine. He was the son of Calvin Foss and Sarah Brackett Carter and a nephew of Phebe Whittemore Carter, who married Wilford Woodruff. He married Tryphena Seavey about 1848. He died 17 Apr. 1864 in Saco, York Co., Maine.
