James Fernald
James Fernald (1797-1861) was born 26 May 1797 in Matinicus, Lincoln Co., Maine. He was the son of Nathaniel Fernald and Patience Hall. He married Sarah A. Calderwood on 18 Dec. 1828 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 25 Dec. 1837 on the South Fox Island, Hancock Co., Maine. He died 20 Oct. 1861 in Rockland, Knox Co., Maine.
