John M. Sellers (1788-1860) was born 24 May 1788 in Deer Isle, Hancock Co., Maine. He was the son of Charles Sellers and Jerusha Morey. He married Nancy Arey on 15 Nov. 1821 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 24 Dec. 1837 on the South Fox Island, Hancock Co., Maine. He hosted and received visits from Wilford Woodruff in 1837 and 1838 on the South Fox Island. He died 3 Sep. 1860 and was buried in Vinalhaven.
