Sarah Hallam Worthen
Sarah Hallam Worthen (1823-1897) was christened 5 Oct. 1823 in Stockport, Cheshire, England. She was the daughter of William Hallam and Esther Holland. She married Samuel Worthen in about 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, and they had thirteen children. She was baptized about 1841. She served as a proxy in the temple on 1 Mar. 1877, Wilford Woodruff's seventieth birthday, and he recorded the event in his journal. She died 29 Aug. 1897 in St. George, Washington Co., Utah.
