March 4th 1842. Phebe A. Woodruff
was Born this morning 30 minutes past 10 o'clock
unto us a child is given! unto us a daughter is born
Mother & babe doing well. May the LORD be praised
for all his mercies unto us

After leaving my family comfortable I spent a
busy dat at the office making up the Mails or prep-
airing papers for it
