June 17, 1844 ~ Monday

June 17th A hand pointing to the right I wrote a letter to Phebe &
done it up in a package with some golden
seal & $12 twelve dollars in silver & sent it
home by Elder G. A. Smith it will reach her
about the first of August. I rode to Royal Oak
in the rain & preached in the evening in the
school house, & spent the night with Mr
Cooper 12 miles
