Hyrum Smith
Hyrum Smith (1800-1844) was born 9 Feb. 1800 in Tunbridge, Orange Co., Vermont. He was the son of Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack. He married Jerusha Barden on 2 Nov. 1826. He was baptized in Jun. 1829. He served in church positions with Wilford Woodruff and performed the sealing ordinance for Wilford and Phebe Woodruff in the Nauvoo Temple. He died 27 Jun. 1844 in Carthage, Hancock Co., Illinois.
