August 30, 1845 ~ Saturday
30th
I recieved 3 letters & wrote 3 & in the
evening I took cars with my wife and Joseph the
young child and rode to Preston during which time
we had a view of the commencement of the English
harvest we saw many fields of wheat and oats & grass
cut and put up it was a plesent ride indeed I met
Br Hardy at the station he accompanied us to Sister
Green's whare we spent the night distance 35 m
