November 17, 1845 ~ Monday

17th A folded letter/box A folded letter/box A hand pointing to the right I recieved the New York
Messenger
saying much upon the aff^a^irs at
Nauvoo the tennor of which was vary
favorable towards the Saints But An Indian
once said the white man was vary uncertain
And the Saints have generally found it
to be so In the dealings of the American
goverment towards us. I recieved 5 letters &
wrote 4. 4 [miles]
