October 28, 1848 ~ Saturday
28th I took cars with Br Gilbert Manchester & rode to fall
River And spent the night with Elder John Duckworth 30 m[iles]
there was A Branch of the English Saints in this place
of 22 members. Elder Wm Low of Cherry Street
was the Presiding Elder many of them came in in
the evening to see me
