On the President Young preached a discourse upon
the subject of our Indian war for we had had a war with Walker and his
band for about three weeks. The Saints were gathering in out of the
small settlements and fortifying themselves.
Two brethren had been killed
and three wounded and 10 Indians killed as supposed.
