Letter from John Milton Bernhisel, 14 October 1854
Dear Brother,
I will just acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 31st of
August. I am gratified to learn that
the back mails have at last reached
their destination. If Elizabeth should
want a little money from time to time,
please let her have it. The past sum-
mer has been excessively warm & dry.
Let me hear from you as often as you
can. I supposed that you have
learned ere this that your ^draft^ in favor
of Messrs Sanborn & Carter is paid
in full. In haste yours truly
