Br Woodruff;
My Dear Sir,
I have only just
time to inform you that I have
not yet fully prepaired the history
about which you wrote. It has
been quite a labor & I have written
some one hundred pages. I have
been some little detained since the
departure of Geo. A Smith in revi-
sing, for I felt anxious to have
it right & as it had to be copied
there is not time to do it. It shall
however receive my earliest atten-
tion. If this had been all my
business you would of course have
had it; but I need not inform
you that I have many more
duties. I must beg to refer
