January 27, 1857 ~ Tuesday

27th I spent the day in the office reading history, writing &c. I attended
the missionary meeting at the Historians office & heard all the wards
reported we had a good meeting.

W. Woodruff. I realize our missionary meetings in one sense of the word are the most uninteresting of any we hold in the city; but they are very necessary. I will explain myself.
