Discourse 1859-06-12
In the afternoon, Elder W. Woodruff spoke
of the importance of the great work of the last
dispensation, the sending forth to the nations
the fullness of the gospel of Christ; alluded to
the fulfillment of prophecy; the dispositions
of all men to cling to this world and to this
life on account of not knowing the reward be-
yond the veil, and concluded by showing the
anxiety of men to get into power for the short
period of 4 years, and how much more anxious
the Latter Day Saints should be to secure the
power, authority and blessings of a more dur-
able character.
