April 18, 1871 ~ Tuesday
18 I left this morning in a snow storm with 3 teams dined
at Brother Hardies station & traveled over the summit in a
hard snow storm & going down we got into the Mud &
snow & mired down with one team finally got out & drove
to Hards, & stoped for the night distance 28 Miles
