Discourse 1873-03-02
Elder Wilford Woodruff, was pleased to see the school this morning in so good a condition; as it is hard to realize the good that can flow from the proper training of our youth, as the Kingdom of God wust must rest upon their shoulders before a great while, and he expected thenat many of them would live until the Savior comes to reign upon the earth. The chil- dren are learning good principals, and habits here, and, so are arkept from evil company on the street. As our children are free from tradition they should be trained prop- erly; exhorted the children to tell the truth under all circumstances, and wished them especialy to learn to pray, as the Lord has as much respect for the innocent prayer of children, as for the greatest man living; none of us can learn everything at onece, but we should should try to qualify our- selves for high positions in the Kingdom of God, little by little, as, the[re] is great re- ward for the faithful in Zion.
