Discourse 1878-08-03
Elder W. Woodruff, addressed the Saints and discoursed upon
the subject of the almighty peopling this earth with his sons
and daughters and his dealings with them. Spoke of the
various dispensations and especially of this last one being
more important in which he required his saints to build
Holy Temples where in they could enter & officiate for the
living & the dead, treated upon the Labors of the saints
since the time the angel gave the records of Ephraim to
Joseph touched up the various harships the Saints
had endured through all of which our Father had carr[ied]
us through triumphantly remarked that the Saints
should be faithful & grateful for all his blessings of which
wer enjoy & labor dilligently for the establisment of the
Kingdom of God, admonished the Saints to be interested
in the erection of our Temples. Spoke of the abundant
crops the Lord had blessed us with. Alluded to the
presence of grasshopers and recommended the Saints
to be wise and make good use of the blessings showe[r]ed
upon us.
