To President John Taylor & Council.
Dear Brethren
Since I have been shut up in
seclusion in a manner, I have felt moved
Upon by the spirit of God to bear my testimony
not ownly to the Latter Day Saints, but to the
whole world, as far as my testimony can
go. Not ownly of the gospel of Christ, and
Kingdom of God, but of the judgments of God
and Events which await this generation
I know not how long I shall live, or dwell in
the flesh, and I feel it my duty to bear
my testimony (though feeble) as an Apostle
of Jesus Christ before I die, that my garments
may be clear of the Blood of all men as far
as can be. And what I have written I have
penned as I felt moved upon by the Spirit
of God. My object of this communication
is that this document may be read in your
council so if there is anything in it which
