2. A hand pointing to the right Sunday I wrote 2 sheets to Phebe and 1 Letter to J Jaques
And I Attended Meeting in the Tabernacle J Gates spoke 30 M[inutes]
W Woodruff 30 M[inutes] E Snow 10 M[inutes]. I spent the Evening at Jacob
Gates and Administered to his wife I also laid hands upon
Brother Levi Snow who was sick The following 7 Persons were
Adopted to me on Saturday March 1, 1879

At meeting in St George Tabernacle Apostle Wilford Woodruff said ^1879^ that the responsibilities which rest upon the Latter-day Saints are not realized by them as they should be. The responsibilities which rest upon the Presidents, Emperors Kings, Lawmakers and Rulers of the Earth are not realized by them as they should be. God will hold them responsible for their acts and the abuse of their powers. God has given to this Nation an inspired Constitution, and all rulers and law-makers who abuse the powers conferred by that sacred instru- ment will be held accountable by Almighty God. He said the happiest portion of his life had been spent in St George in laboring in connection with his brethren and
