May 16, 1879 ~ Friday

16 we left Br Haskell & family at the Black falls as He
was intending to take possession of some of the land there for
a heard ground for Moan Copy. We then rode to the Grand
falls
, the river mostly dry to the grand falls some water
above we nooned here then parted with August
Wilken
He went on to San Francisco Mountains we drove
on the Sunset road & camped on the River found some
water shot one Rabbit Distance 30 M[iles]
