Br Wilford Woodruff,
Dear Sir,
Br Hyrum Mikesell, a man
who has been with us a number of years, had
been employed by Br Brigham to work on the
Temple Block for five years. To work for
nothing and find himself; which he did
faithfully and got nothing in return. He
is very poor and broken. There are many
things pertaining to this case, which I will
not here mention; but your oft' repeated
declarations of your sense of justice and
magnanimity, prompts me to believe, that
you would acquiesce in, and even suggest
something to the Presidency, which would
induce them to render a little assistance to
Br Mikesell's family. It reminds me of the
Savour's Golden Rule.
I am prompted to take this step, because
