Dearly Beloved Brother, This eventful day for Isreal, the Anniversary of the Martyr- dom of Joseph and Hyrum, was cel- ebrated profitably in St George Temple. Notwithstanding the very busy time of year there were 61 Males and 121 Fe- males presented themselves this morning for the purpose of officiating for and in behalf of the dead of the Smith family. Brother John L. Smith first cou- sin of the martyrs had a record from which the names were furnished. They were mostly Lymans relatives of the maternal side of the George A. Smith and John L. Smith family, as we did not have names of those bearing any closer relation to Bro's. Joseph and Hyrum The Free Will Offering of the people to-day was, however, made to the Martyers.
