20 A hand pointing to the right I wrote ^6^ Letters to Jaques, Emma, Clara, owen
Blanch & Alice. Brother Thompson called & I went with him
to the Temple at St George and had an interview with
Brother H. J. Grant & J. McAllister on the temporal state
of Church Matters I received 3 letters from Bulah, Sarah
^ A folded letter/box^ & Milton SW Snow I spent the night at Broth Cottam 8 Miles

Salt Lake City, Utah, My Dear Clara I cannot Leave you out of my corresspondence to day through Brother T is wanting to take me to the Tem I Recieved your Letter of the 7. I am always glad to hear from you I Expect you may prepare for a busy season if you are going to commence keeping boarding House I hope you will prosper I had sent Ma a Draft of a kitchin Buttery & Bedroom to build onto this old Home ie if she builds. Mother Cottam is still vary sick or is not able to set up she has had a hard sick spell & I Read your letter & Mas to her that you sent she was vary glad to hear from you I got one letter from Van that I have not answered as yet I wish I could be with you a while I get lonesome at times thinking of home Please tell Asahel I got that Balance Sheet of Sorenson all right Give my Love to Ovando if He is with you of course I have No News to write I set in my stone palace Read & write then I ago in a boat hunting Ducks & I shot some quails & Rabbits But I cannot walk without getting into a great perspiration & it takes me a good while to get dryed off but I call
