My beloved brother: Your kind, encouraging and ever welcome favor of Mch [30] came safe to hand and was read with much interest. I remember the holy, happy hours I have spent with you in the Temple of our God and am grateful beyond express- ion for the experience of those never-to-be-forgotten times. It was a long time since you laid your hands upon me and blessed me for my mission to Mexico. What an experience I had there! But it is coming out all right, is it not? I am very glad I stood bye it. What changes have taken place since last we parted. How many have gone behind the vail—how many proved their integrity prefering to be robbed in fines and costs and imprisoned rather than surrender a single principle of the gospel and how few have weakened. There is a little faith left in the world yet. I hope it will increase. We have received the news of Dickson step down and out and an expectation for Zane to fol- low such men are a disgrace to the genus homo and make one wonder if they are not of those class of spirits whose names were not written in the Lambs Book of Life from the foundation of the earth referred to in Rev XIII & 8 verse. We have some just as bad here. Do you remember a fellow by the name of Jarman who obtain- ed an unenvyiable reputation in Salt Lake City at Jennings' [Well] he figures as an anti-mormon here and is what
