July 4, 1887 A hand pointing to the right Keys crossed I wrote ^9^ Letters to day to C. E. Richardson
A M Tenney & P J Christofferson and Jaques Emma Owen
Blanch Nellie & Alice I gave Letters of instruction to
the 3 Lamanite Missionaries. There was quite a celebration
of the 4 in St George

July 4, Keys crossed A crown A hand pointing to the right A folded letter/box An arrow I received a Letter from George
Q Cannon
giving me an account of the dangerous condition
of President Taylor He is liable to drop off any day
A hand pointing to the right I wrote Brother Cannon a short Letter
Thus I am satisfied that my late Dreams are
abot to fulfilled and that President Taylor is about
to be taken from us. Thermometer 110 in the shade

My Deer Blanch It is the 4 of July and vary hot to day and I have not time to write long letters to day to all I received your class pass and I was vary much pleased with yours & Owens I think they are both vary good I am pleased to see you advancing in your studies I suppose you are having a long vacation I hope you will enjoy it I expect you are getting to be quite a young grown up lady
