Salt Lake U. T. Wm Atkin Dear Brother While our con- ference is in Full blast & Erastus Snow with others of the Twelve are at Meeting & preaching & Listening to my Epistles I sit down to write a few lines at my table to you. I have had one week vary hard sickness but am up again at work as hard as Ever holding Meetings untill Midnight you say I ought to stop that I would if I could but I dont know how. I Expect you will think I am crazy or run wild when you read in the News that W W E Snow, L Snow F D Richards &c went out into the Stand on Sunday & that W W spoke to 10000 people But I Expect you will Read Just such a thing. My Epistle is being Read to day it will take 1 1/2 Hours &c

Salt Lake U. T. My Dear Leslie I have Received your Letter of Oct 5. I have hardly time to Read a Letter or Answer one but I have a few moments so I will write a few Kind Lines I was pleased with your Letter I have not seen your Mother I have seen Sarah Brown & her son Newton W But have Not seen Bell Nor Wilford nor any of his family his son Asahel at Judge Smiths he Died yesterday 11 years old with Dipthereie several cases in the Neig- ghborhood I Expect to take with me to morrow L Snow E Snow F D Richards & George Reynolds into the upper stand of the Tabernacle & speak to 10000. Letter from George Teasdale, 8 October 1887
President W. Woodruff & Council. Dear Brethren: We have had the plea- sure of getting off the sixth and last company of 122 British, 109 Scandinavians, 12 Hollanders, 12 Swiss and German and 23 Elders return- ing missionaries and visitors, making a total of 278 souls. They sailed on the Guion S. S. Nevada, Captn Douglas. Elder Joseph S. Wells is the president of the company, with Rasmus Rasmussen and Edward Clyde as his coun- sellors. Selden I. Clawson Secretary. There are some pretty good people, some not so good and we hope they will do better in zion. Tomorrow is the Conference of the Liverpool and adjoining branches, over which Elder Robert Davidson presides. We have with us Bro. Jas P. Freeze Prest of the Birming ham, James Thorn Prest of the Glasgow, Jno W. F. Volker of the Holland and Rt Davidson of the Liverpool Conference. Then we have Bros D K Greene of the Manchester cConference where he is travelling and John Biggs, W. Watterson & Jos C. Pixton who are here with Emigrants [illegible] emigration business and will
