his wife Julia whose left leg was swoolean to her

Rigby Bingham Co I. T. Elder Wilford Woodruff President of the Church of JCLS Salt Lake City Utah Dear Brother Yours of Nov the 20th was recieved yesterday which must acount for the delay in answering I make final Proof on my place on the 24 of this month and can leave my family in a condition that they will be provided with the necesaries of life for the present and my son a young man is capable to take charge of the farm so that they will not come to want in my absance but will require means to take me to my field of labor and doe not know how mutch the Brothern of the ward
Letter from George Teasdale, 6 December 1887
President Wilford Woodruff & Council. My dear brethren: I have forwarded to Brother F. D. Richards for the council the interpretation of the decision of the Swiss Confederation in the case of Bro. J. K. Loosli. I send an extract from a letter received from President Schoenfeldt dated Nov. 28. "Your letters of Oct. 17 & 21 containing your valuable counsel in regard to the measures of the Swiss Federal Council against our missionary pursuits, have been received and according [to] promise we enclose an english translation of the [r]ediculous unjust document for your perusal. As a [G]erman document I would pronounce it an effort of education to strike at the liberties of the poor. After I had received your letters I went before the Lord in fasting and supplication to aid me in operating so that every word of your counsel would be obeyed, and the same put in such a shape, as to be most successful to our purpose in accordance with the usages of this country. I [c]alled a Conference of the leading Elders of the Swiss native Elders and Saints male and fe- male. Elder Spori was appointed chairman and the sentiments of that meeting were heard, and resolved that a petition be drawn up in all Switzerland, and Spori was appointed to all of that document.
