Legal - Codicil to will, 27 June 1889
It is further my will and testament that my Stock in Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company be increased to [Agony] Emma, Sarah, B Sarah Delight, and James J. Woodruff. from ten [10] to twenty [20] shares each, of One hundred dollars [$100.] each share. Also that five [5] shares in Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company be given to John Jaques. my Administrator; executor to pay him for his services in attending to the settlement of my estate at my decease. I also give and bequeath to the my following named children, who are my heirs, one [1] share each in Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company: Emma Manelle, Asahel Hart, Clara Martisis, Abram Owen, Minifred Blanche, Mary Alice, David Patten, Phoebe Arabelle, Sylvie Kelvins, Newton, Mary, Marion, Emmeline, Ensign, John, Julia and Jecce J. Woodruff. I also give and bequeath to Mary A. Ross, mother of James J. Woodruff, five [5] shares of stock in Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company. It is further my will that the proceeds of five [5] shares of stock in Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company be used to pay for the expenses of my sickness and burial and to place a suitable monument upon my burying ground. Is is also my will that Mary. A. Ross, and my children James J. Woodruff and Sylvie Arabella Melvina Thompson should each receive one [1] share of stock in Zion's Co-operative Mercantile Institution. I also give and bequeath to each of my three wives, Emma, Sarah B and Sarah Delight, 1500 shares in the Inland Salt Company. I wish it further understood that whatever property I may have left of Zion's Savings Bank and Trust Company stock, or property [Send ... and] from any source whatever, which I may have left after all my debts are paid and the demands of my Will are complied with, I wish
