President Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother: The enclosed letter just to hand. It tells, as you will perceive its own pitiful story. I forward to you trusting that you may advise Brother Rogers what to do. I was impressed with the feeling that he should be instructed to dispose of the few articles of household furniture or place them in safe keeping if he can so arrange, and either return to Mesa or go to the Colony at Juarez temporarily at least. This of course is offered only as a suggestion and is submitted very respectfully and without any disposition to shape the course the Holy Spirit may inspire you to adopt in the matter. Having passed through a somewhat similar sorrowful experience my sympathies are deeply moved towards Brother Rogers; and should His trying ordeal through which he has past
