Letter from Oliver Cromwell Hoskins, 21 May 1890

President Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother: In answer to yours of 16th inst. in regard to Bro. Yarbock. He came from Salt Lake City. Met with a fatal accident last October, while working at Huniville on Bro. Hunsakers Grist Mill. He was employed by the Breathren at Washakie, as engineer, to run the engine at the Mission Saw Mill He also worked at Blacksmithing while he was at Washakie. Thare was no settlement made with him, but His a/c was open. The Breathren expected to settle up last fall, but the loss, by the burning of the Saw Mill & limber they where not able. Payson May 21st 90 President Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother I received your letter of the 16 ult And will say I were suprised for I received a letter from the Presidents of the Seventys and they said I would not be required to report till September my circumstances I will say that I would like to go on a mission if my circumstances were all rite but I am in debt to the amount of four hundred Dolars

Letter from Thomas Edwin Ricks, 21 May 1890

Rexburg, Bingham Co, Idaho. Prest. W. Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother, I have just got back from Blackfoot having got through with the most of the Idaho Test Oath Cases. We are neither paying fines nor pleading guilty. Can you send us an order on this office for $300 ^to help us^ on these cases? I am going right back to Blackfoot being subpoenad on our Water Master Case. Our Conference closed on Monday. We had Bros Merrill Farrel and Jenson. The meetings were well attended, we received good instructions and had a very enjoyable time I am Your Brother in the Gospel T E Rick
