Prest. Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Brother: Enclose letter from Bro. Stauffer It speaks for its self, and 2 illegible words [page torn] my mind in relation to the Turk- ish mission. It seems to me that a good work can be done there and if that mission were properly organized, destricted and made more familiar to our minds, I have no reason to doubt there could be great good accomplished The colonization scheme was talk- ed of in father's day and is worthy of consideration in my opinion. I pres- ent these ideas as they occur to me. I go to Ireland on Friday night to attend conference, Ex- pect to return monday. We look for the first company of Elders to arrive on sat. or sun. St. George President Wilford Woodruff, I reseived and accept my appointment as a Missionary to Switzerland and Germany I am willing to be a faith full Missionary out in the Nation and to fullfil yours Wishes I have faith in the Lord that he will bless me to doe so. To the Presidency of the High Council of the St. Johns Stake of Zion. Dear Brethren: In the case of A. M. Tenny vs. the Print- ing and Publishing Company of St. Johns, Arizona, which was appealed from your Court to the First Presidency, and your decision confirmed by them Nov. 12, 1888, and you so notified. We have to say that since that time the case has been brought again to our attention; and while in no way dissenting from our former conclusions we recommend, in view of certain obscure details which now appear diffacult of verification, that the matter be com- promised by the payment of Brother Milner of $200; and upon his doing this, that you withdraw your objections to his restor- ation to fellowship in the church. If you accept these rec- comendations please advise us, and we will notify Brother Milner to send you a check for the amount, which we understand from Prest. Udall's letter he has on deposit over
