Logan Prests Wilford Woodruff Geo Q Cannon Jos. F Smith Dear Brethern Your letter of the 13th is at hand, and I will say in answer, that the arrangement made is far more preferable to me than to assume the duties of Office Clerk, and it is entirely satisfactory, and I will endeavor to fill the appointment as best I can. You will remember, our conversation also touched upon the matter of alternate High counselors acting as regulars and the matter of disposing of some of the real estate held by the Stake corporation an answer to which I was to recieve after your council had met and talked it over. Without desiring to urge in any way, I await with pleasure your time and opportunity to answer. Our quarterly conference convenes
Letter from Peter Simon Jensen, 15 January 1892
Preston Pres. Wilford Woodruff. Dear brother In answer to our favor of the ^8th^ Inst. calling me to go upon a mission to Scandanavia & to be prepared to start at as early a date as Feb 20 will say although I am but 19 years old & if possible younger in experience, but if my Brethren so desire & think I will be of any service in the missionary field. Unless I recieve further instructions shall be at your office in Salt Lake City Feb 19th to be set apart & prepared to start Feb 20th as requested with feeling of humility & ever praying for the welfare of Zion.
