To the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Dear Brethren: In answer to the petition which Elder Richard T. Haag has addressed to you in my behalf, two nice rooms adjoining his house, have been erected for me (cost $500.00), which rooms I now occupy. Under the present financial burden of the Church I had not hoped for such immediate and generous action on your part. But it is all the more appreciated and with many heartfelt and sincerest thanks, I accept of the same as a great blessing from the Lord. He has comforted me in the hours of my greatest trial and will never forsake His children, who earnestly try to do His will. over.

Logan, . President W. Woodruff. Dear Brother– Your favor of Dec. 31st 1892 is received. As regards to my circumstances and feelings about going to ^on^ a Mission to Germany and Switzerland I will state them as they are.
