January 21, 1894 ~ Sunday

21. Sunday I spent the day at home. I & Emma laid hands upon
the Head of Abraham Owen Woodruff our son and Blessed him
He also blessed me & his Mother He felt well about his Mission
and was willing to go upon his Mission

Sunday afternoon President Woodrough & Coun^cil^ I went to meeting this afternoon as meetin was about open I asked Bishop than to give me the time for so few moments to tell the Saints what Brother Woodrough & the Council tolled the Saint Sunday after^noon^ at the Conference at Provo he said I on my holiday was going on mission that he must have the time all right when he was through I arose & stated to the Saints what I had arose for commen^ted^ When I caught my coat tolled to stop that I was going long who Shou^ld^ occupy the time I tolled him I woul^d^ be short he then called the marshal John Nelson to put me out of the house the marshal come up in to the stand took me by the arm I talked & I would go home peaceablly so I did Brethren how long is it that these things can go on and call it allright I feell wounded to my hart will you send someone to see to it.

Williams, We were at a loss to know what to do, or how to answer it. Knowing that you would be familiar with the matter, we thought it best to forward the young man's letter to you.
