Letter from Orson Smith, 17 February 1894
Prest Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother Sis Annie J Anderson was left a widow, by the death of her husband, to whom she had been sealed, for time and eternity, and by her 1st husband Bro Anderson ^she^ had one child. In 1886 she become the wife of Hans C Hanson of Newton this Stake and by him she has 3 children. This last marriage being for time only. For some time past I have been asked to try to secure a divorce for her but have delayed the matter until it could be properly investigated. I am now fully convinced that there is no happiness for either of them together nor has been for a long time and therefore feel to reccommend to you that their request be granted. They both desire it. I enclosed 1000 for divorce Your Bro in the Gospel Orson Smith
